Jimmy Nickerson, VP of Production
Biography
Boxing movies were never so real and “hard hitting” until Jimmy developed and patented the JC CAM, named after his father. The “new JC Cam represents the first time a hand-held camera mount has been built to withstand actors’ blows”*. Clairmont Camera was called upon to build the special rig.
Jimmy Nickerson recently directed a movie in San Antonio to critical acclaim. “From Mexico with Love” is the story of a self-destructive prize fighter seeking to follow in his father's footsteps by making a name for himself in the ring.
Jimmy has a stellar career as a stuntman, stunt actor, and stunt coordinator whose work includes Star Trek: First Contact.
Nickerson began his stunt career with the classic 1970 film M*A*S*H. Since then, he has performed stunts and served as stunt coordinator for such famous movies as Rocky, Rocky II, Raging Bull, The Cannonball Run, Big Trouble in Little China, Lethal Weapon, True Lies, Crimson Tide, Waterworld, Con Air, Batman & Robin, Blade, and Fight Club. Another film he did stunts for was the 1996 action thriller Executive Decision, directed by future Star Trek Nemesis director Stuart Baird. Nickerson also served as stunt coordinator on the television series Charlie's Angels and the primetime soap opera Dynasty.
